Shipping Policy

 

1. Processing Times

  • Orders usually ship within 1–2 business days after payment clears.

  • Pre-orders and back-orders ship when stock arrives.

2. Shipping Methods & Insurance

  • We ship via recognized carriers (e.g., Canada Post, couriers) with tracking where available.

  • Shipping insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance at checkout. If you decline insurance, any recovery for loss or damage in transit will be limited to the carrier’s standard liability (if any).

3. Risk of Loss & Title (Carrier Responsibility in Transit)

  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, risk of loss and title pass to you when we hand your order to the carrier.

  • From that point, the carrier is responsible for transit. We are not responsible for carrier delays, misrouting, weather impacts, customs/inspection holds, or other events beyond our control.

4. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged in Transit

  • If your parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of the delivery date (or expected delivery for a non-delivered parcel) at support@w2hobbies.com with photos of the box, packing materials, and items.

  • We will assist you with the carrier claim, but we do not guarantee a refund or replacement unless and until the carrier approves a claim or insurance pays out.

  • If you declined insurance, our assistance is limited to filing/forwarding a claim with the carrier (subject to the carrier’s rules).

5. “Delivered” but Missing (Theft/Porch Piracy)

  • When tracking shows “Delivered” to the shipping address, the order is deemed delivered.

  • After delivery, we are not responsible for theft or loss at the address. Consider using a secure address, a pickup location, or signature on delivery (if available).

6. Signature on Delivery (Optional)

  • For higher-value orders, we may require signature. If you request “no signature,” you accept the increased risk after delivery.

7. Address Accuracy & Undeliverable Parcels

  • You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

  • Parcels returned as undeliverable/incorrect address may be reshipped at your cost. Original shipping fees are non-refundable once a parcel has been handed to the carrier.

8. Shipping Fees & Estimates

  • Rates are shown at checkout and are not guaranteed until purchase.

  • Transit times shown are carrier estimates and are not guaranteed.

9. Order Splits & Packaging

  • We may ship items separately. Packaging may vary to protect products.

10. Items Restricted by Carrier

  • Certain items may be restricted by carrier policies. If we cannot ship an item, we will cancel and refund that item.

11. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, carrier network issues).

12. Your Legal Rights

  • Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights under applicable Canadian law. Where a term is not enforceable, the rest of this policy remains in effect.
